Community Outreach

“The joys and the hopes, the griefs and the anxieties of the [men] of this age, especially those who are poor or in any way afflicted, these are the joys and hopes, the griefs and anxieties of the followers of Christ.” — Documents of the Second Vatican Council, Gaudium et Spes (1965).

The Saint Stephen Community Outreach reaches out to those members of our community—and those outside of our faith who are struggling with economically and financially and are in need of food provisions.

To avail oneself with the services of the Community Outreach one must

  • Come to the church office on Saturday morning 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM.
  • Bring with them a proof of residency in the city of either Monterey Park or Alhambra (usually utility bills addressed to you).
  • Food distribution is every Saturday, 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM.

Donation of food items such as the following is always needed and appreciated: Needed

  • Pasta
  • Cereal
  • Canned soup
  • Canned tuna
  • Canned vegetables
  • Dried fruits
  • Nuts

You can bring your donation to the parish office during office hours.

Volunteer Ministry Opportunity

There are many ways to help at our outreach. We invite you to become part of this fun, faith-filled group of volunteers. Call the office if you are interested in volunteer opportunities.
